Aloha!

I finally got to watch Lilo & Stitch after weeks of trying to find a good time to watch. I had never seen the original cartoon version of the movie, but I used to love watching the Lilo & Stitch cartoon that used to air in the mornings on Disney Channel. Stitch was pleasantly an overpowered character in the show and was just overall super cool. Definitely the best experiment on the show.

The new Lilo & Stitch movie was freaking amazing! Disney got everything down perfectly! Stitches personality, the casting, and the storyline were all just right.

I'm aware that the movie is intended for kids, but as a 33-year-old man, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The first thing that stuck out, was that the acting wasn't overly cheesy. The behavior of the characters were believable enough so that I didn't have to feel like I was watching an "immature kids' movie".

They also liked that the movie was actually funny. I didn't have to force any laughs. They got stitches personality down pact and the little girl who played Lilo was super funny too. I've spent some time working with kids and she reminded me a lot of the kids I used to work with. And the neighbor played by Amy Hill, was freaking hilarious!

Although the movie was funny, it had me in my feelings through certain parts of the storyline as well. There were moments in the movie when I was really feeling the pressure and found myself rooting for Lilo and her sister Nani to pull through. They used tho characters to highlight the importance of Ohana, which means family, in a cool way. I feel that it's important to love the people around us through their mistakes and liked how the movie got that message across to the audience along with messages like giving maximum effort for the people you love and togetherness.

Overall Lilo & Stitch was an amazing movie. I thought it was a GOAT-level kids' movie on par with kids' movies like Matilda. They did a great job making a movie that kids and adults could watch and enjoy together as a family. The movie looked good, the acting was great, the story was entertaining, and I felt the movie delivered a message that needed to be heard. I give the move Lilo & Stitch a rating of:
