MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH MONEY

Hello everyone your welcome to my blog today

I still remember my first earning ever in life like it was just yesterday and it's not because of the money or how much it was but it is because of how much joy I felt at that point having money that I could call my own it gives a different kind of joy only kids can relate to.

This is my entry for Indiaunited weekly contest it happened during my the Christmas holidays and my aunty who runs a big provisions store asked for my services to aid in the shop to sell as some of her worker traveled home for the Christmas break.

I willingly obliged to help well it was a good two weeks of attending to customers of different categories and I gained some experience from there most the people that came were trustworthy and some where not but at the end of the day I made some good sales.

At the end of the two weeks she handed the sum of 5000 Naira and my jaw was open for about 2 mins it felt so magical having money in my hands , a lot of thoughts went through my head at once should I buy lot of biscuits and sweets and some drinks and have a good time.

That moment changed me a lot, holding that money in my hands was a prove of my hard and dedication to the responsibility I was given for two weeks and i am proud it paid off. I ran to my mother to show her and she tapped me and said your are growing up. I kept the money close to my pillow all night while I slept constantly waking up to check on it.

Instead of spending it all at once I decided to save part of it and use some out of it to get
Something that I have always wanted to get which is a beautiful pink watch ,mom helped me to get it at the market and I felt good knowing I was wearing what I bought with my hard earned money.

My first earning taught me the importance of patience , discipline and hardwork , growing up into adulthood and starting to fend for myself I realized that money doesn't just come from asking but from effort and hard work , it still brings smiles to my face when I remember my first earning.
