Today's topic is actually very interesting and it's going to help us share our personal stories individually ,well yes there are a lot of things that I do that I would myself sometimes I ask myself is it bad or is it good am I overdoing this thing. I am somebody who is addicted to always being on my phone most of the time I am always on my phone I always like being on the earbud it has gotten to a point that sometimes my ear hurts because I wear earbud for a long time it is even more like the second companion to me.

This is my entry for hive learners weekly contest edition 1 , my first time using earbuds was when my sister was in the hospital that was when I got my first earbuds because I love listening to music or listening to videos on YouTube more likely scrolling through tiktok just randomly watching other people's videos like I said earlier always been on the earbud is something that I know that actually bad for my hearing but I continue doing it . I've tried to stop a lot of people complaining about it but it makes me feel like I'm in a whole different world just the world of my own with nobody in the just me and my thought listening to whatever comes to mind.
And then let's get down to YouTube I love being on YouTube like I can be on YouTube all day Long I have a lot of things that keep me engaged on YouTube I don't watch movies and YouTube but I watch comedy ,short reels, scary cartoons or bed time and folklore. I also engage in mountain Zion movies Christian movies i do a lot of learning on YouTube things like cooking videos and DIY hacks. But as a young girl trying to put her life together buying data always is something I do not want to do but for the fact that I'm always on YouTube it can be really draining it literally makes me be on my earbuds all through the day sometimes I even have to subscribe to YouTube premium so that anytime I carry my phone to do something else I have a video playing on the background so am able to listen to something alongside anything else I'm doing with my phone that is one thing that is good at the same time and it also very bad that I indulge in.
So let me explain this is very bad, what I mean is it really drains my data I do data subscription monthly because most times I do my work on hive using my laptop and normally we all know that laptop drains battery. Anytime I'm using my phone I'm on YouTube but at the same time and I'm doing something else the way the data will run out, it makes me feel like buying data everyday .I make it possible to have data on my phone just so that I can be able to watch something on YouTube. If I don't do it in a day then you know that something is wrong with me. Well I've been trying to work on it yes I've reduced it a little bit and also to save my self the stress of always running out of data I decided to set my YouTube to data saving mode I would always choose the quality for the video that I want to watch especially when I'm not really looking at the video and i just want to be listening to it , i put it at the lowest quality and when I want to sit down and watch something put it at the highest quality to be able to get the best out of it.

I think most of us are addicted to smartphone nowadays, I uninstalled tik tok and you tube because I lost too much time on these app but I still scroll to much on Facebook or Instagram.

The use of earbuds, they say, is dangerous to one's hearing. I hate the pains I get from using earpieces/earbuds, so I prefer using headphones, even though they still don't prevent me from getting hearing problems in the long run, but I use them anyway. There is a lot of entertainment on YouTube and its likes, and it is understandable to spend a lot of time there, but it will be good to have limit on all of these, just like they say, too much of everything is bad. thank you for sharing your personal with us.
