Yesterday started a bit later than usual with a quick shopping run to restock essentials. I had planned a bike ride with a friend, and we were set to meet up in the noon/afternoon — but he had to cancel last minute. Still, I decided to hit the trails solo and rack up the kilometers anyway. The sun was relentless though, and the heat made every pedal stroke feel like pushing through molasses. My back had been a waterfall.
