The day began with a bike ride timed perfectly to beat the rain, trading the usual heat for a cool. The shift in weather was a welcome break, the air fresh and washed clean after so many sweltering days. With the soil damp and ready, I planted the little seedling I’d been waiting on, giving it a proper place in the garden. After that, there wasn’t much to do — just a quiet, easy day that felt like a pause before the next round of busyness.
