My “I Must Make It In Life” Moment
There are moments in life that just open your eyes and change everything. One thing can happen and your whole mindset will shift. For me, that kind of moment came when my mum became seriously sick
Before then, life was not so easy but we were managing. My mum was the strong one in the house. She was always working, doing business, providing for me and my younger ones. She was like the pillar of the family. Then one day, everything changed. She fell ill and couldn't move around like before. She couldn’t work again, and she needed proper medical care. The worst part? We didn’t have enough money to take care of her.
That moment hit me hard. I sat down one night and just cried. I looked at my mum lying weak and my younger ones who didn't even understand what was going on. That night, something in me changed. I told myself, “I must make it in life.” Not just for me, but for my family. I don’t ever want us to go through that kind of situation again. I don’t want to be helpless when someone I love needs me the most.
Before then, I used to be the kind of person that would say “I’ll do it later” or just be lazy about things. But after that day, my whole attitude changed. I started waking up early, thinking about how to improve myself, and learning new things online. I began to take every opportunity seriously. Even if I didn’t know how it would go, I still tried. I was just determined to do something, anything, that would help me grow.

That moment made me stronger. It gave me reason to push myself even when I felt like giving up. I began cutting off distractions and surrounding myself with people who have the same mindset. Life didn’t become easy overnight, but my drive and focus became stronger
Right now, things are not perfect but they are better. My mum is slowly getting better, and I’ve started a small business. I am still learning, still growing, and still fighting to reach the goals I set. I have a long way to go, but I am no longer that person who waits for things to happen. I go out and try to make them happen.
That experience changed my life. It gave me direction and made me take life seriously. It made me realise that life is not about waiting for things to get better. It’s about standing up and doing something, even if you’re scared.
So yes, my “I must make it” moment came through pain. But from that pain, I found strength. And since that day, I never looked back.
Wow, a real eye-opener! 🙌 Hope things are looking brighter now. Keep building! 🐎
Yes thank you I really appreciate it 💯✅❣️
