It's popular to talk about how evil the USA is and quite easy for many people to forget the good the country and it's peoples have done. There is good and bad in every country and in every person. I feel that people should look more closely at themselves and rectify their own behaviours rather than shifting blame away to one country or the other.

You say the above in respect of people looking more closely at themselves and own behaviors as I commented before. But, if it's in a person's "design" why bother talking about it, you're suggesting it won't change. I find what you're saying quite contradictory. How can you expect the government (people) to change if you say it's simply in their "design" to be that way.
