Seeing the whole picture at once before the watercolor paints are applied to the paper is sometimes very difficult, but it is incredibly interesting, you @bleujay have a God-given talent to see this and embody it on paper.

I know you are correct...there are many things about ourselves we have no control over such as when we were born, where we were born etc. and I would certainly add talent to the list...all under God's charge. It bears pondering from time to time.

Talent from God is always more stable than what we invent for ourselves @bleujay, it either exists or it doesn't... yes, you can learn something, spend your time, but only talent received as a gift brings joy :)
