A little here and a little there
Sometimes growth does not happen in loud leaps; it happens within a range of back-and-forth moves- a little here and a little there. If you’ve noticed my silence on Hive, it wasn’t because I ran out of words. Life simply demanded attention in other directions. My thesis needed my attntion as I had to travel to gather preliminary data, and family responsibilities called. The planting season began knocking at the door, and planning could not wait.
And somewhere in between all that… crypto charts were dipping. It would have been easy to sit glued to the red candles, watching numbers fall and emotions rise. But sometimes wisdom is knowing when to look away. Diversifying my attention was an option toward preservation. It kept me emotionally sane.
There’s something powerful about balance. We often think progress must be intense and singular, where we give all focus on one thing, all the time. But life rarely works that way. Seasons overlap, responsibilities coexist and maturity is learning how to distribute your energy wisely.
Balance is strategy. None of these things that took me away may look dramatic, but together, they build a stable life. I believe that when you give attention to multiple meaningful areas of your life, you create resilience. If one area dips, another area can anchor you. Trust me, a little here and a little there prevents burnout.
It’s similar to how farmers plant in seasons. You don’t harvest every day. There is a time to prepare the soil, a time to sow, a time to wait, and a time to reap. Watching charts every hour does not change the market, but tending your field, nurturing relationships, and other things we do are seeds that will yield. I have learned that stepping away is not quitting; it is recalibrating.
Sometimes the mind needs new scenery to return refreshed and sharper. It provides that when you come back, you’re renewed. That’s how I feel now. I was intentionally building in other dimensions of my life. Now I return to blogging with deeper insight.
