Skeletons and the Pharaoh's Heirloom in Gods Unchained.
Cover made using images and elements from Gods Unchained.
Hey everyone!
It's time for all the Skeletons in Gods Unchained, most of which are Death or Neutral cards. And many are used in meta decks, the most used skeletons are the level 1 ones, since they have a simple but really useful effect.
First, let's start with this Skeleton called: Wretched Vanguard, which when defeated, steal 1 health from the opponent's god, which is added to your god's health.
This skeleton is special, as it can also be summoned by the spell: Pharaoh's Heirloom. And this spell card can be added to your hand by multiple cards effects, which I think is pretty amazing.

All cards that allow you to add a Pharaoh's Heirloom to the hand must have the Empower 1 effect activated before being played. This will cost 1 mana more than the card's current mana cost.
The only exception is the 4 mana creature, Heirloom Retriever, which must be defeted to add the spell to the hand.

Of all those creatures, I have almost never seen them in battles. The only one I've seen a few times has been Dark Sun Celebrant, then the others not even once, as far as I can remember. Aside from being able to add the Pharaoh's Heirloom spell to the hand, their other effects are quite simple and the downside is that they have low stats, which is why they are not used in battles.
There are also 3 spells that add the Pharaoh's Heirloom to the hand, all of them with the empower effect.

Of these 3 spells, the 2 mana spell, Curse of Greed, is the best know and currently the most used. It has a low mana cost and, for a common card, has a great effect.
The Reclaim spell also has a great effect , but because of its 4 mana cost, it is not used like the first one. And the Dead King's Touch spell is very useful for those creatures with Ward or that have a lot of armor, eliminating them without problem, but since death decks are mostly aggro, this 5 mana spell is not a good option to add to the deck currently.
And now let me introduce you to a legendary creature that makes use of the Pharaoh's Heirloon spells, who is none other than: The Quorum of Pharaohs Past.

Source
This 7 mana legendary creature, deals 2 damage to a random enemy when summoned, and this effect repeats for each Pharaoh's Heirloom in your void or hand. This card really caught my attention, as it is one of the few cards that requires only one specific card for its effect to have a greater impact.
The max damage this card can deal, assuming you use all the cards that add Pharaoh's Heirloom to your hand is: There are a total of 8 cards that add the Pharaoh's Heirloom to your hand and including the spell, for a total of 9. So, since none of them are legendary cards, a max of 2 can be added to your deck, so 9 x 2: 18.
Therefore, the damage would be 2 + 18 x 2= 38 damage to random enemies, that's quite a lot, so this card can really destroy the opponent's god.
This damage can be further increased with cards that duplicate the spell or creatures, so you can have more copies of the Pharaoh's Heirloom. I would really like to battle with this deck just for fun, I can already imagine myself getting frustrated by being defeated even before summoning the legendary creature :P
Now let's continue with the real Skeletons, it's the turn of this 1/1 Skeleton with Soulless (which can only be summoned by special effects first):

Bonded Warrior is the skeleton you can currently use thanks to the Sanctum for 18 favor. I lost count of how many times I summoned it, it must have been more than 20 times, for sure.
Tutankhamun may not be a skeleton, but he can summon many 1/1 skeletons at the end of each turn. Unfortunately, it is not that good and is currently not used.
One of the other most well known and used skeletons is the Lootable Corpse, which allows you to draw a card. What I didn't know was that there was a card that, when defeated, summons a Lootable Corpse, interesting but like many other cards it is not used, maybe 2 mana was too much.

The 1 mana Skeletal Hoplite, in my opinion, is one of the most annoying creatures, for one simple reason, it has 1 armor, and since I like to play aggro decks, I sometimes struggle to beat it early. If that Skeletal somehow gains more stats, it can become a big problem, which has happened in some battles, becoming unstoppable. Anyway, I like to trade 15 favors to use that Skeletal thanks to the sanctum.

Although the 3 mana Cursed Hoplite's afterlife description mentions that it will summon a Skeleton, this is not actually true, as it will instead summon the Skeletal Hoplite.
Now, here are some Skeletons that cannot be added to the deck, but can be summoned by special creature effects:
The Skeletal Guard can only be summoned by the Pharaoh's Guard's afterlife effect.

Soul Jar's afterlife effect mentions that it will summon two 2/2 Anubians, and those are the skeletons: Ancient Guardian.

And finally the Sphinx Cat will summon two skeletons called Broken Warriors.

Now, some more skeletons.

Of all those 8 skeletons, the most used is Netherswarm Lord, which is great when the player likes to use Nethers creatures, increasing their power. And I think I've seen the 2 mana Burrowing Scarab in battle, which allows both players to draw two cards. The rest of the other cards are used very rarely.
The 3 mana Servilia, Fettered Wight is used in some death decks, I don't think it's a must have card, as it's not really that dangerous to the opponent. This card can damage both gods, so I really like this creature.

Now it's the turn of the SPELLS that have a skeleton in their design.

The 2 mana Compost Charm spell is primarily used in nature control decks. The 10 health for the god for only 2 mana and, as a bonus, adding a random nature card to the hand is actually pretty good.
Mark of Death spell is not used at all. And the Frozen Rest spell isn't used as much as Compost Charm, but it has two great effects: it lets you destroy the opponent's relic, which is perfect against the 2 mana Dragonshard Plate relic, which has 10 durability; or you can choose to put two creatures to sleep.

The spells Sacred Lore and Thermal Power are not currently used in battles, well, at least I don't see any of those cards in my battles.
On the other hand, the 6 mana spell, Land of the Dead, is used a lot, as it allows you to summon up to six 1 mana Anubians, which is really great since there are some 1 mana Anubians that can turn the battle in your favor with their damage effects.
Finally, there are 2 legendary skeletons, which I unfortunately have not had the pleasure of using or playing against.

The Harvester may not have great stats, but it deals 2 damage to both gods when a creature dies, which I don't think is bad, but its mana cost is high, so by the time you summon this creature, you most likely won't have many creatures on the board, maybe a max of 2. So, it's not worth spending 6 mana to deal a little damage to your opponent's health.
Hades, Underworld Lord, has the same problem as the Harvester, it has a great effect but its mana cost is too high, 8 mana is really too much, surviving until this round with a death deck, I think it is very difficult.
While searching for skeletons cards in Gods Unchained, I discovered this 3/2 Ancient Executioner with frontline. The Tomb Blademaster is supposed to summon this skeleton, but its description doesn't have the effect to do so.
So I'm wondering what card summons the Ancient Executioner, since I didn't find one. Let me know in the comments, if you know.

I didn't know there were so many Skeletons cards, I thought there were just a few, but since most of them aren't used in battles, it's normal that I thought there were fewer.
What really surprised me is that there are 8 cards that add the 1 mana Pharaoh's Heirloom spell. And that there is a 7-mana legendary creature that can deal a lot of damage by having that spell in the void or having it in the hand.
The best designed cards are definitely the Harvester and Hades, they may not be used much in battles, but they are very cool.
In case you are wondering, of all the skeletons, The Harvester is the highest priced card currently.
Do you like these Skeleton cards, or hate them? :(
Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments.

Anubians are good and I must admit that Anubian is one of the peskiest decks out there; they can outrace you, and even my fast aggro war has a hard time beating them.
