There was a time when I used to play Dota 2 with my friends with great passion. We get to gather in someone's house and do play dota 2 the whole night. We set up our PCs, connect all with modem and do play ranked matches.

It was quite strange in a fun way that we would start around 10 or 11 at night and continue until 6 or 7 in the morning, playing until the morning light came out. We were very fond of this game especially the battles we played with each other which were our favorite.

Now that I think about it Splinterlands is quite similar to this game. In Splinterlands you only have to run the simulator while in Dota 2 you have to play the whole game yourself.

The purpose of todays writing is that there are some monsters in Dota 2 and Splinterlands that are similar to each other. Before this I also talked about PUDGE that matched a Splinterlands monster whose powers and abilities were very similar.

In the same way today I want to talk about another monster that is quite similar and both perform almost the same role.

In Dota 2 there is a hero called Sniper who is very famous. In ranked battles he was often banned first because people were afraid of this hero especially because of his ultimate ability which could “snipe.”

What happens in a snipe is that if a heros health is less than 50% and they come under his ultimate they can be killed in a single shot. If we look at his visual appearance he holds a sniper gun in his hand, has a big beard and stays in one position to take precise shots.

Similarly there is a monster in Splinterlands called Portly Cannoneer. If you look at its visual appearance you will find very little difference. It also holds a sniper type weapon, has a beard and is a ranged attack unit just like Sniper.

If I talk about its stats and abilities first of all its mana cost is 4 which allows you to easily select it in low, mid and high mana battles. Its health is 3 which is not very high but if you keep it in the backline it performs very well with its sniping ability.

The best thing about it is its main ability shown with a red flag known as Inspire which gives +1 melee power to all allied units.

At level 1 its price is very reasonable. You can get it for just $0.02. If someone wants it they can buy it and gradually upgrade it. If I talk about its maximum level the price goes up to around $13 at level 10.

At max level it also gains Return Fire and Fury abilities. Another major change is its ranged attack power which increases from one to three. He can deal +3 damage to enemy units every round.

After checking this monster it reminded me of the Sniper hero in Dota 2. Almost both have the same visual appearance and powers. And both are my favorite monsters thats why I thought to compare both of them. I hope you liked it.
