Target Achieved: 5000 LEO! Plus, Over 150$ Earned in Arbitrage
In less than two months, I managed to reach my goal: going from 4000 to 5000 LEO.
Quite an achievement, considering that during this time not only has the price of LEO increased significantly, but these 1000 LEO were entirely acquired through arbitrage operations: I didn’t use my HIVE, I only made countless transfers between the various versions of LEO across Hive-Engine, Arbitrum, Binance Smart Chain, and Polygon.
In the screenshot above, you can see some of the most recent operations I carried out through LeoDex, where I sold (Arb)LEO for (Arb)ETH, as the value of LEO on Arbitrum was higher than that of LEO on Hive-Engine.
After that, I transferred ETH from Arbitrum to the Ethereum Mainnet and then, through TribaDex, to Hive-Engine, where I was able to buy back LEO at a lower price and transfer it back to Arbitrum, thus closing the loop.
The profit from each of these operations tends to be quite small, but there are always surprises and, in less than two months, in addition to reaching 5000 LEO, I also earned over $150, which I keep in ETH.
5000 LEO
5000 LEO is a great milestone, one that I hope will bring me even more satisfaction when the distribution of fees generated by LeoDex — to LEO stakers on Arbitrum - starts on September 23.
To be precise, at this moment my wallet holds “only” 4917 LEO, because about 140 have yet to arrive: I managed to qualify for phase 2 of the LEO airdrop by performing swap operations worth over $1000:
Soon I should receive over 140 LEO which, added to the 4917 I already have, will bring my total to 5000… and even a bit beyond!
Barring any surprises, I should now be ready for the start of USDC rewards, although the exact amount is still to be discovered: LeoDex is still a young interface, constantly expanding, with new features being added week after week.
There are still some aspects to refine, so for now it’s not easy to tell how high this platform can go.
The team’s ambitions are very high and, so far, there have been several positive signals.
The market will play a key role: if the altseason arrives, the world of DeFi will see huge amounts of money and liquidity flow in, pushing the volume of platforms like LeoDex through the roof.
One of the most important questions, therefore, is: will this long-awaited altseason ever come?

In meno di due mesi sono riuscito a raggiungere il mio obiettivo: passare da 4000 a 5000 LEO.
Un'impresa non facilissima considerando che, in questo lasso di tempo, non solo il prezzo di LEO è aumentato notevolmente, ma anche che questi 1000 LEO sono stati interamente da me acquisiti grazie ad operazioni di arbitraggio: non ho infatti utilizzato i miei HIVE, ma ho solo effettuato tanti trasferimenti tra le varie versioni di LEO presenti su Hive-Engine, Arbitrum, Binance Smart Chain e Polygon.
Nello screenshot qua sopra potete ad esempio vedere alcune delle più recenti operazioni che ho realizzato tramite LeoDex, dove ho venduto (Arb)LEO in cambio di (Arb)ETH, dato che il valore di LEO su Arbitrum era maggiore di quello dello stesso LEO su Hive-Engine.
Dopodiché ho trasferito ETH da Arbitrum alla Mainnet di Ethereum, e da qui, attraverso TribaDex, su Hive-Engine, dove ho potuto riacquistare LEO ad un prezzo più basso e ritrasferirlo poi su Arbitrum, chiudendo così il cerchio.
Il guadagno per ognuna di queste operazioni tende ad essere abbastanza basso, ma le soprese non mancano mai e, in meno di due mesi, oltre ad arrivare a 5000 LEO, ho anche guadagnato oltre 150$ dollari, che conservo sotto forma di ETH.
5000 LEO
5000 LEO sono un gran bel traguardo, che spero mi porti ulteriori soddisfazioni quando inizierà, dal 23 settembre, la distribuzione delle fee generate da LeoDex in favore dei LEO stakers - su Arbitrum.
Per essere precisi, in questo momento nel mio portafoglio si trovano "solo" 4917 LEO, perchè circa 140 devono ancora arrivarmi: sono riuscito infatti a qualificarmi nella fase 2 del LEO-airdrop, effettuando operazioni di swap per oltre 1000 dollari:
Tra poco dovrei perciò ricevere oltre 140 LEO che, aggiunti ai 4917 che ho già, porteranno il mio totale a 5000... e anche un po' oltre!
Salvo soprese dovrei perciò ormai essere praticamente pronto per l'inizio delle rewards in USDC, il cui ammontare è però ancora tutto da scoprire: LeoDex è un'interfaccia ancora giovane, in continua espansione e con nuove features che vengono aggiunte di settimana in settimana.
Ci sono ancora alcuni aspetti da limare però, per cui per ora non è facile capire quanto in alto potrà arrivare questa piattaforma.
Le ambizioni del team sono molto alte e, per ora, ci sono stati diversi segnali positivi.
Un ruolo fondamentale sarà giocato dal mercato: se l'altseason arriverà, il mondo della DeFi vedrà rovesciarsi al suo interno enormi quantità di denaro e liquidità, spingendo alle stlle il volume di piattaforme come LeoDex.
Una delle domande più importanti, perciò, è: arriverà questa tanto agognata altseason?

How many LEOs do they take away when you switch from Tribaldex to Arbitrum? I read someone who sent 100 and received 89.
Right now the fee is very high: 10,5% of the transferred amount.
It might change in the future, though.
If you want to bridge your LEO now, an alternative route you might want to consider is:
It involves more steps, but it might cost you less than bridging your LEO with the 10,5% fee.

Could I replace ETH with BNB? Isn't it cheaper?
It’s cheaper, but you have 2 disadvantages:
The cheapest path in my esperience is going through ETH. And when you arrive on Ethereum (if you want to keep gas fees as low as possible) you can bridge your ETH from Ethereum to Arbitrum and then swap it for native LEO. To Bridge ETH from Ethereum to Arbitrum on average I paid 0.04$ in gas fees (plus the fee of the bridge), so it’s pretty affordable :)

Mi piacerebbe, ma dovrei implementare dei controlli per assicurarmi ogni volta che LeoDex e LeoBridges siano operativi, inviando delle transazioni per piccoli importi e aspettando di ricevere la risposta prima di inviare somme più importanti... e non so se sarei capace di fare un lavoro pulito: lo script che ho creato per arbitrare Beeswap Convert e Uswap a confronto è molto più semplice e già così ha messo a dura prova le mie capacità... non vorrei che quest'altra cosa per ora fosse al di là delle mie capacità.
Tra l'altro non saprei come interagire con LeoDex in maniera automatizzata: mi servirebbe un API pubblica (penso), ma non credo ci sia per ora... potrei vedere se un altro Dex (tipo Cacaoswap) offre qualcosa del genere, ma poi dovrei trovarla anche per Across (un altro bridge che utilizzo per effettuare queste operazioni)... non sono abbastanza bravo 🤣
