What School Didn’t Teach Me About Money And How I’m Learning It Online

I just want us to learn from this post as a youth we are, still struggling to make ends meet.

Growing up, I spent so many years in school learning about mathematics, science, literature but not once did anyone really teach me about money. I knew how to solve equations, but I had no idea how to budget, invest, or even how to think long-term about my finances on to live and survive.

Now that I’m older, I realize that money is something we deal with every single day yet we’re often left to figure it out on our own. That’s exactly what I’m doing right now.

To be honest, I’m still learning. In fact, I only started paying real attention to financial knowledge when I joined Hive and later discovered LeoFinance. Before that, my understanding of money was simple: earn it, spend it, and hope it lasts and Make more.

But life taught me otherwise.

I’ve made money mistakes in the past spending without planning, borrowing without understanding the consequences, not saving at all. I used to think that only rich people needed to worry about investing. But now, I know that the little money I get today can be the start of something bigger if I manage it well.

LeoFinance has helped me change how I see money. Just by reading posts, I’ve learned about

The importance of saving even in small amounts

The basics of cryptocurrency and Web3 opportunities

Why financial freedom starts with mindset, not money

And the best part? I’m learning all this for free, with just my phone and internet connection.

Sometimes I think back and wonder why didn’t school teach us about real life money problems? Why weren’t we shown how to create a budget, avoid debt, or plan for the future? WHY?

Maybe things would have been different. But I’ve stopped blaming the past. Now I’m focused on what I can control.

I still don’t have it all figured out. I’m not an expert. But I’m proud that I’ve taken the first step to learn, to grow, and to share my journey. And I know I’m not alone. There are many young people like me trying to understand money the hard way.

That’s why I’m grateful for online communities like LeoFinance. It’s not just about crypto or market it’s about people helping each other become smarter with money.

I believe if we can teach ourselves now, we’ll be able to teach the next generation better. And there will be no room for financial instability

So no, school didn’t teach me much about money. But Hive, LeoFinance, and my mistakes are doing a pretty good job now.
