@Sarkissamarji: One Of The Best Performances Of Week 40 In My Opinion
The deadline for week 40 submissions of the vibes Web3 Music Competition has been reached and the voting has run its due course. In today's post I want to highlight a submission that stood out for me in week 40 and that is the submission by @Sarkissamarji.
I've always been a big fan of the guitar, both acoustic and electric, especially the electric guitar. I'm always thrilled by a good performance on the electric guitar. That's why I took an interest in the piece done by @Sarkissamarji.
Without further ado, let's get into what stood out in his performance and lessons to learn.
Things That Stood Out For Me In His Performance And What Other Participants Can Learn.
He only played the electric guitar, but it was a brilliant submission. Here are 5 things that stood out for me in his performance:
His Skill On His Instrument: Needless to say, he's a very skilled guitar player. While watching him, my mind went to popular electric guitar players, like Jimi Hendrix and Jimi Page.
@sarkissamarji shows an incredible level of skill on the electric guitar. He only plays for about a minute or so but I was awed throughout. It's obvious he took time to hone his skill on the instrument.
One thing other participants can emulate from this is to hone their skill. Either you hone your skills as a vocalist or an instrument player. Take time to practice and also take lessons. It will take your performance to the next level.
His Dexterity On The Instrument: I was awed watching his fingers move on the frets and the strings, the riffs and licks were breathtaking to watch. The way he varied the notes makes his presentation even more interesting to listen to.
Participants in the competition can apply dexterity to their voice even if they don't play an instrument. By learning how to vary the pitch of your voice to delight your listeners. It's one hallmark of good music.
Great Sound Quality: He uses sophisticated equipments to make his presentation, so the sound turned out well. You can hear the backing track and his Instrument loud and clearly. None sounded too much above or below the other.
Anyone participating in the competition can imitate this by investing in some quality audio equipments like a microphone, and a mixer or mixing application and then learn how to use them well. It would take their music a long way.
Excellent Timing: He timed both the backing track and instrument’s sound well. Both sounded together and not one before the other. This is what spoils some of the presentations of some participants. If you can get your voice/instrument to rhyme well with your backing track, it would transform your music.
Good Video Quality/Lighting: The environment where he stayed to make his music was well organized. It was well lighted. No part of his facial features or his Instrument was in the dark, you could see all pictures clearly.
This is one of the rules for winning in the competition. All a participant has to do is make use of a decent camera to record their music and record in a well lighted area. Video quality, just like audio quality, is a strong factor in deciding the winners.
I am rooting for @sarkissamarji and I wish him luck and hope he wins. I wish good luck to the other 14 nominees. My thanks to the organizers of this great competition, @lordbutterfly, @verbal-d, Keep going guys.
