GOT: One Like No Other

I have had the pleasure of viewing several great and really interesting movie series. I have kept late nights enjoying the action packed scenes in Prison Break. I have had my heart palpitate wildly while watching Jack Bauer of 24 almost get killed. Or watched his exploits as a CTU agent with great awe.

I have also enjoyed the interesting character of Raymond Redington in The Blacklist, awed by his resourcefulness at solving almost any problem and bringing almost any problematic situation under control. Raymond Redington is one of my favorite TV personalities.

The Greatest Series Of All Time For Me

I remember the time, last year or so, my smartphone got spoilt, so I borrowed my younger brother's laptop computer to view movies. I watched a Jason Bourne movie, quite interesting it was. I watched Ethan Hunt's exploits in Mission Impossible. That, if I remember correctly, is where I found Prison Break and watched the first and second season.

That was also the time I discovered Game of Thrones or GOT I have heard about the movie series before but it was my first time of watching it. I was both awed and deeply entertained. Right from the first season I was held spellbound. I loved the storyline, the action and the lines. The lines were a kind of poetic.

There are several reasons I consider GOT to be the GOAT of movie series. First, it never had one dull moment. Those days when I began watching it, I could sit with my eyes on the screen for hours. It was interesting action after interesting action. I especially loved the sword fights and battle scenes they gave me terrific dopamine hits.

The second reason is that there are many interesting characters in the movie. From The King in the North, to Tywin Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Jamie Lannister, The Mad King, Prince Obryn, who died in single combat with the Mountain, and many others. Each of these characters had something fascinating about their personalities. For Tywin it was his accomplishments as a battle commander and the leader of the most feared house. For Tyrion, it was his wit and his sometimes unpredictable resourcefulness. For Jamie it was undoubtedly the fact that he was the best swordman in the seven kingdoms. ETC. There's almost always something to admire in every character in GOT.

Another reason is the messages the movie passes. There's almost a message in every episode. The movie teaches survival. It also teaches perseverance in the face of difficulty, and the fact that life doesn't always give you what you want.

Another thing I love GOT is the poetic and intellectually stimulating lines. I enjoyed reading them and of course I watched the movies with subtitles. Another movie I enjoyed the lines is Into The Badlands, but it's not quite close.

Thanks for reading.

I loved seeing GOT but I don't know how I never got to finish the series like seriously. But I loved every bit of it. I think this is one TV show I can rewatch all over again.
