I must admit that true anonymity is pretty hard to do if you're online (or offline, now the police are deploying facial recognition cameras in town centres and tracking car locations through their onboard SIM's). But there are still things that can muddy the waters a bit. Random searches online, avoiding anything that wants you to upload a driving license or hold your face up to a webcam, stuff like that.

I tend to set my VPN to Kazakhstan, but also hop around Belgium, Vietnam and a few other places. Judging by the ads and YouTube videos I get shown, Google currently thinks I'm a middle-aged Russian housewife somewhere near Tomsk 😆
