A wonderful blast from the past 😁

I've actually got an Amstrad PCW8256 in my loft. It's been languishing up there for about 15 years. I'll have to get it down sometime and see if it still works, although I suspect the printer will need a new ribbon (I think it took one from an Epson FX-80, from memory).

My first computer was a Commodore 64 which I also still have. It still works as far as I know but I'm kind of afraid to turn it on without getting a modern power supply. I've heard horror stories about old original power supplies failing in bad ways.

I've got some diskettes from my old pcw8256 that I need to have a look at and will probably buy an old 8256 just to have a look at what is on those disks. Probably my old essays from college.
Good to know that there are still some around.
I used to get this magazine. 👍
