Some of the past marketing efforts have been perhaps inefficient. There was a Zealy campaign a year or two ago, that was absolutely cringeworthy.

Crypto folks sometimes communicate in a hyperbolic mode that has been done to death.

Clear communication that gives context, and is reasonably enthusiastic is often more persuasive. "Up Only" marketing spiels are generally an ingroup narrative to discourage people looking for the exits.
