Weekly Self-Review: Growing Slowly But Surely on Hive!

I see Steady Earnings, and the Long Game (July 16 - July 22)

Here we are with another week!!

Welcome back to another weekly self-review of my Hive journey! It has been exactly 8 days since my last update, and it’s time to look at the numbers, the charts, and the overall health of the account.
When we look at social media, it’s easy to focus only on follower counts, but on Hive, the real metric of success is often the sustainability of the ecosystem you are building.
Let’s dive into the stats for the last 7 days.

1. The Wallet & Account Value
   First, let’s look at the bottom line.
   Estimated Account Value: $786.35
   Hive Power (HP): 15,883.81 HP

My account value has held steady and grown slightly. Having nearly 16k HP gives me a decent amount of influence and voting power, which is crucial for supporting other creators. Nowadays I am struggling with my HIVE Power, then when it is almost empty I proceed to do Reblogging...

I currently have a small amount of HBD in savings ($0.34), which isn't much, but every bit counts toward the 20% interest APY! Anyway, at the actual price, imo it is better to accumulate more HIVE, of course there is always the risk for the price to continue down.

1. Earnings Breakdown (Last 7 Days)
   The analytics box tells an interesting story about where my value is coming from.
   Author Rewards: 290.43 HP ($14.09)
   Curation Rewards: 15.1 HP ($0.73)
   Total Earnings: ~$14.82 for the week.
   Looking at the "Total Earned (USD)" chart, my best day was July 18th, where I earned over $3.40 in a single day!(one day for one coffe :))
   While my curation rewards are currently low ($0.73), my content creation (Author Rewards) is doing the heavy lifting, bringing in over $14 worth of HP.

2. Follower Growth: The Reality Check
   Previous Count (8 days ago): 774
   Current Count: 775
   I gained 1 follower this week.
   To be honest, this is slow growth. While I am happy to have a new community member, going from 774 to 775 reminds me that I need to focus more on engagement. It’s not just about posting; it’s about commenting, networking, and being visible in the community.
   I am treating this as a reminder to spend more time in the comments section of other blogs this coming week. Quality over quantity, but I definitely want to see that number climb!

3. Account Growth & Strategy (The Charts)

If you look at the "Account Growth" chart, you will see a massive beige bar on July 21st.
This represents a significant Power Up. I took the rewards I had earned and reinvested them back into my Hive Power. This is visible in the sharp rise of the orange trend line at the end of the chart.
Strategy: I believe in compounding. By powering up rather than selling when possible, I am increasing my future curation rewards and the value of my votes. The jump from ~15,700 HP to ~15,880 HP in a week shows that the strategy of reinvesting is working.

Conclusion & Goals for Next Week

This week was financially solid with ~$15 earned and a healthy Power Up, but socially quiet with only +1 follower.
My goals for the next 7 days:
Engage more: Aim for 5-10 meaningful comments per day to boost that follower count.
Maintain the Power Up streak: Keep compounding those author rewards.
Improve Curation: Try to find undervalued posts earlier to boost that $0.73 curation reward number.
