Here we are with another word in Spanish. Now we have the word cicada. So, today let's see the word 'Cicada'. Do you know how we say 'Cicada' in Spanish?
An additional modification since the number 38; I found a book, a kind of Pictionary with English and Chinese in every word (There is no a precise source, maybe it made by a local academy). Then I will follow it and add the Spanish corresponding word. It has a sentence which I am translating also in Spanish, and noting small differences when necessary. Then it has a version in English, Chinese and Spanish. After this pictionary I will put the usual description of the word.

“Cigarra” está perfecto para cicada, y las dos imágenes lo enseñan muy bien: una desde el lado didáctico y otra desde el lado biológico. La frase “Las cigarras hacen ruido en verano” funciona natural en español, aunque yo la puliría a “Las cigarras cantan en verano” si quieres sonar más idiomático, porque en español se dice mucho que las cigarras cantan aunque técnicamente produzcan sonido; encaja muy bien con la idea de verano y calor. Sobre la segunda imagen, esa salida del exoesqueleto está bien representada: las cigarras pasan años bajo tierra como ninfas y luego emergen, mudan y abren las alas, tal como explican Britannica y Xerces Society.
También está bien elegido el contraste entre vocabulario básico y detalle visual real. Eso vuelve la palabra más memorable: no solo aprendes “cigarra = cicada”, sino que la asocias con el sonido del verano y con su metamorfosis. Ese tipo de conexión funciona muy bien para aprendizaje de idioma porque fija la palabra con contexto, no como lista suelta.
Como detalle fino de estilo, yo dejaría estas versiones así:
Y sí, esta serie tuya ya tiene una identidad muy clara. El formato visual + traducción + pequeña explicación hace que sea útil tanto para quien estudia español como para quien refuerza inglés. Tu post anterior de la serie también mantiene esa línea didáctica: A Daily Word in Spanish (440).
