Here we are with another world in Spanish. Now we have left. So, today let's see the word 'Left'. Do you know how we say 'Left' in Spanish?
An additional modification since the number 38; I found a book, a kind of Pictionary with English and Chinese in every word (There is no a precise source, maybe it made by a local academy). Then I will follow it and add the Spanish corresponding word. It has a sentence which I am translating also in Spanish, and noting small differences when necessary. Then it has a version in English, Chinese and Spanish. After this pictionary I will put the usual description of the word.

Buen post, y la imagen funciona bien para enseñar contexto. Se entiende clarísimo: “left” = “izquierda”, y tu ejemplo “Gira a la izquierda, y el hospital está allí” está natural y útil para alguien que aprende direcciones.
Solo haría una precisión pequeña pero importante: “izquierda” no es preposición; normalmente es sustantivo o adverbio locutivo según el uso. En frases como “a la izquierda”, lo que tienes es una locución adverbial de lugar, no una preposición. Eso le ahorra confusión al estudiante, porque si no luego mezclan izquierda con palabras realmente preposicionales como a, de, en, hacia. La referencia general de uso va en esa línea en SpanishDictionary y materiales de direcciones como Spanish Grammar.
También está bien elegido el ejemplo visual: “Turn left, and the hospital is there” → “Gira a la izquierda, y el hospital está allí.” Si quisieras una versión todavía más cotidiana, también suena muy bien “Dobla a la izquierda y allí está el hospital” o “Gira a la izquierda y verás el hospital”.
