My Toughest Low Mana Match Ever (Grimbardun Fighter: The Tank That Wouldn’t Fall)

Today I got to see a very strange match in the 27 mana battle of Splinterlands. It felt like in front of me there was a very experienced player who understands every strategy of the game very well.
From my side I did the selection and positioning of monsters completely perfect but still I dont know why this battle was looking one sided from the start. Its frontline tank was really strong and heavy damage absorber.
I thought it is a low mana battle so I will select at least 5 monsters so that the team stays balanced. First of all I chose 2 tanks who could absorb damage on the frontline and behind them I placed 2 support units who could help with healing or extra attack.
I was fully sure that this strategy would be best to defeat the opponent. But when the battle started everything looked opposite. The opponent selection was far better then me and he made a good combination monsters.

The opponent also selected monsters but their team was looking simple. I was most surprised by seeing their frontline tank. The tank monster they placed at the start was Grimbardun Fighter.
This monster looked strange because even after taking so much damage it was still standing fully strong. My monsters were attacking again and again but there was no special effect on it. Its defense and health were so high that it felt like it would never fall.
In short what happened was that slowly my frontline tanks got eliminated then the support units also could not last long. I was most shocked when all my monsters finished one by one and not even a single monster of the opponent died.
In this way I had to face a bad defeat. But at the same time I decided that the tank monster which gave such a strong performance that is Grimbardun Fighter I will to study it so that in next battles I can counter it or use it myself.

In this battle my favorite monster was Kavar Skarn whose abilities impressed me a lot. It is actually a smart summoner type card which gives the team a speed advantage, especially boosting Dragon type or specific bloodline monsters.
Its biggest strength is that it is easy to use even in low mana battles and you can bring more strong monsters into the field. But its weakness is that it does not give direct attack or defense boost so if the team is not strong then the benefit becomes less.
Even after losing this battle taught me a lot. Now I have realized that depending only on your own strategy is not enough sometimes the opponents team composition and special monsters change the direction of the game.
Next time I will build the team with more planning and will try to keep a counter ready for every type of tank.
Have you ever played this monster? Tell about its any ability, Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
