Grimbardun Fighter Frontline Power – Eliminated My Entire Monster Team

Todays battle was quite strange for me and maybe it is the first time that something like this happened that I had to face this kind of defeat. Mostly in Splinterlands I have a good experience of winning battles especially when the mana is high because it allows to select strong monsters and make a good combination.

But what happened today was completely different from my expectations. I think my opponent was quite a pro player and very expert in the selection of monsters.

To be honest I feel that this time my selection and positioning were not as strong as they should have been. Usually I win my high mana battles so I was quite confident that I would easily win this battle as well. But sometimes the game also teaches us that we should never underestimate any opponent.

Todays battle was of 56 mana which comes in the high mana category. In this battle I selected 7 monsters and my opponent also selected 7 monsters. When I made the team I felt that my combination was quite strong and maybe I would easily win the match. Because of which I also took this battle a little easy.

I selected the monsters according to my usual strategy. That means one good frontline tank then support monsters and backline attackers. I also kept the positioning best according to my understanding. But when the battle started, slowly I realized that the opponents strategy was quite strong.

The opponents first monster that was on the frontline kept fighting alone for a long time. His backline monsters kept giving him continuous support. Sometimes he was getting heal, sometimes extra defense, and sometimes strong attacks.

Due to which he survived in the battle for the long time. This was quite unexpected for me. I rarely see such a defeat but this is also part of the game and this is where learning comes from.

In this battle the monster that impressed me the most was Grimbardun Fighter. This monster was a very strong part of the opponents team and was performing very well on the frontline. The abilities of this monster impressed me a lot.

The most important ability of Grimbardun Fighter is Shield which reduces the damage of melee and ranged attacks. In the same way it also has Void Armor which allows magic attacks to be absorbed by armor first.

Its weakness is that its damage is not very high and if the opponent has very strong magic attackers then sometimes it can come under pressure quickly.
