Captain Fellblade — Opportunity Ability Destroyed the Enemy Backline
Today in a 38 mana battle a wonderful match was seen. Before the battle even started I saw the opponents lineup and it was completely filled with 7 monsters. That means he used every slot and selected as many monsters as possible.
But I selected only 5 monsters. Obviously it was looking that he had more advantage but I focused on quality and strategy instead of quantity. This battle was totally focused on the strategy and that worked perfectly.
In 38 mana it is easy to make a strong lineup but wrong selection can also become the reason of defeat. Proper selection and positioning plays important role in winning the battle.
The opponent selected more support type monsters. I thought that I will select more tank type monsters so that their damage can be absorbed. If they have more support then their main tank will be weaker and if the tank falls early then the whole lineup gets disturbed.
That is why I kept a strong frontline tank which kept absorbing damage. Along with it I also selected ranged attack monsters so that direct pressure can be put on the backline. My plan was to first eliminate their weak support monsters so that in the end only their tank remains which is not getting any support.
When the battle started everything went exactly according to plan. My tank kept taking damage and from behind the ranged monsters kept doing their job. One by one the opponents backline monsters kept getting eliminated. When the support finished then their main tank was left alone. At that time it had neither healing nor extra damage support.
When monster selection is correct, positioning is correct and strategy is clear then victory is not difficult. In the same way in this 38 mana battle I got a wonderful win. Everything happened according to planning and I got a lot of satisfaction.
My favorite monster in this battle was Captain Fellblade. This is my favorite card and in this match it showed amazing performance. Its best ability is Opportunity which targets the monster with the lowest health. Because of this the opponents weak monsters were eliminated quickly.
Besides this its speed is also good which gives it the chance to attack first. The combination of high damage and good speed makes it very dangerous. But it also has a weakness. If it comes in the first position it cannot attack because it is a ranged monster. Its health is also not very high so protection is necessary.
