15 Mana Battle Challenge: High Health Monsters Strategy (It Worked Perfectly)
A 15 mana battle in Splinterlands in my opinion is one of the toughest battles. When the mana is low, winning is not easy. In such battles you have to select monsters very carefully. If you make even a small wrong selection the team balance gets disturbed and then winning becomes difficult. That is why in low mana battles the role of strategy becomes even more important.
My thinking is that when the total mana is only 15 then you should try that most monsters should not have more than 4 mana. If you select a monster with 5 or 6 mana then it becomes difficult to make a good team combination.
The team remains small and then it becomes hard to create pressure against the opponent. That is why in such battles the correct combination of low mana monsters becomes the key to winning.
Today I also got the chance to play a 15 mana battle. When I saw the rules and the mana cap I thought that this time I should change my strategy a little. Usually when I build a team I follow a proper combination.
For example a strong tank then a support monster then a carry attacker and sometimes I also add a sneak attacker. But this time the mana was so low that I thought to try something different.
This time my whole strategy was focused on only one thing and that was high health low mana monsters. I thought that if the monsters have more health then they can stay longer on the battlefield and absorb more damage.
Because of this reason I did not focus much on support and sneak monsters. My main priority was that among the low mana monsters I should select those which have higher health.
Because of this strategy I selected 7 monsters while my opponent could only select 4 monsters. From here I got some confidence that my strategy might work. When the battle started then slowly the result of my strategy began to appear. My monsters had higher health so they kept absorbing the opponents attack and stayed longer on the battlefield.
While absorbing damage my team slowly started eliminating the opponents monsters one by one. And in this way I got the victory in this battle. This battle was very interesting for me because in it I tried something different from my usual strategy and it worked.
In this battle my most amazing monster was Calamity. I liked this monster very much because its abilities are quite powerful. Its mana was only 4 but its health was 8 which is a very good thing for a low mana battle. Because of this the monster stayed alive until the end of the battle and kept fighting.
Some abilities of Calamity are also very interesting. It has an ability called Life Leech which increases its health after dealing damage to the enemy. In the same way the Expose ability can remove some defensive abilities of the enemy which is a very powerful feature.
Like other monsters it also has some weaknesses such as it has no armor and if the enemy has many sneak attackers then sometimes it can also take damage.
