Măgura - Romania / Măgura - Rumänien
Hello,
Today I had a customer visit in Brasov, Romania. I left early in the morning, but was too tired in the evening and spent the night in Măgura in the county of the same name. It was a bit of a detour, but I met a few friends there. It's an idyllic place with lots of peace, good air and good food. My mother was born in Kronstadt, so it's like a homecoming for me. I still have relatives here, but the people I met today are actually from Germany. They are happy to be here and have lost many of their prejudices. What was fear a week ago is now joy at the hospitality.
I am also happy to be able to introduce my home country - with all its good and bad sides, because like everywhere else in the world, there are both. It is a beautiful country with mostly good people, but it has suffered a lot in its history - and you can feel that. I would like to be an ambassador here and present it. There are also others who write nice articles about travel and sightseeing here, for example @gabrielatravels and @triplug.
But back to today: I was happy to meet the group and talk to them. Tomorrow they're going further north and I'm going to my family very early. I want to be there by 9 o'clock. See you then, good night!

Heute hatte ich einen Kundenbesuch in Kronstadt, Rumänien. Ich bin in der Früh gefahren, war aber am Abend zu müde und habe in Măgura im gleichnamigen Kreis übernachtet. Es war ein kleiner Umweg, aber ich habe dort ein paar Freunde getroffen. Es ist ein idyllischer Ort mit viel Ruhe, guter Luft und gutem Essen. Meine Mutter wurde in Kronstadt geboren, daher ist es für mich wie ein Heimspiel. Ich habe hier noch Verwandte, aber die Leute, die ich heute getroffen habe, kommen tatsächlich aus Deutschland. Sie sind froh, hier zu sein, und haben viele ihrer Vorurteile verloren. Was vor einer Woche noch Angst war, ist heute Freude über die Gastfreundlichkeit.
Ich bin auch froh, meine Heimat vorstellen zu können – mit all ihren guten und schlechten Seiten, denn wie überall auf der Welt gibt es beides. Es ist ein schönes Land mit meist guten Menschen, das jedoch viel in seiner Geschichte gelitten hat – und das spürt man. Hier möchte ich Botschafter sein und es vorstellen. Es gibt auch andere, die hier schöne Artikel über Reisen und Sehenswürdigkeiten schreiben, zum Beispiel @gabrielatravels und @triplug.
Aber zurück zum heutigen Tag: Ich war froh, die Gruppe zu treffen und mit ihnen zu sprechen. Morgen gehen sie weiter nach Norden und ich fahre ganz früh zu meiner Familie. Ich möchte um 9 Uhr dort sein. Bis dann, gute Nacht euch!

Thanks for the heads up, Alex! It's been a while since I last wrote a Romanian travel post, but I'll surely change that in the next few months! Nevertheless, Brasov is a great place to return to, no matter the season or time of the year. Such a chill and beautiful city!
