StarTexter - Commodore 64

My parents work in the house and I asked them to take some of my old things. They brought them to us and I'm amazed that I still found an original word processing programme for the C64. After the fall of communism in 1990, when I was 7 years old, I started playing and tinkering with computers. My first computer was a ZX80 and my second computer was a Commodore 64, or C64 for short. I got it in the summer of 1990. I still remember using it to record programmes and games on the TV early in the morning at the weekend. The C64 had two external drives, one for floppy discs, the big ones, and one for cassettes. The cassettes were cheaper. The world has changed so much since then. After a few years, I gave the Commodore 64 away to a family member.
I got this programme at school, we only had one room with 286, which we got as an emergency aid, and this programme didn't fit. It cost 64DM in 1990, it would cost 66€ today if you take inflation into account.
What will I do with it? Probably donate it and I think I will donate it to my old home, because there is also a museum for old computers: https://retroit.ro/

Meine Eltern arbeiten im Haus, und sie sollten ein paar meiner alten Sachen mitnehmen. Sie haben sie uns gebracht und ich bin erstaunt, dass ich noch ein originales Textverarbeitungsprogramm für den C64 gefunden habe. Nach der Wende, 1990, als ich 7 Jahre alt war, begann ich mit Computern zu spielen und zu basteln. Mein erster Computer war ein ZX80 und mein zweiter Computer war ein Commodore 64, kurz C64. Den habe ich im Sommer 1990 bekommen. Ich erinnere mich noch, dass ich damit am Wochenende ganz früh morgens Programme und Spiele über den Fernseher aufgenommen habe. Der C64 hatte zwei externe Laufwerke, eins für Disketten, die großen, und eins für Kassetten. Die Kassetten waren billiger. Die Welt hat sich seit damals so sehr verändert. Nach ein paar Jahren habe ich den Commodore 64 an ein Familienmitglied verschenkt.
Dieses Programm habe ich in der Schule bekommen, wir hatten nur einen Raum mit 286, die wir als Soforthilfe bekommen haben, und dieses Programm hat nicht gepasst. Das hat 1990 64DM gekostet, das würde heute 66€ kosten, wenn man die Inflation rechnet.
Was ich damit machen werde? Wahrscheinlich spenden und ich denke, ich werde es meiner alten Heimat spenden, denn dort gibt es auch ein Museum für alte Computer: https://retroit.ro/

That's almost ready for a museum! Some of that stuff is even valuable to collectors now. What a cool relic!

A good thing for a museum to have, there aren't many of those left in working condition. Most were thrown away ages ago!
