Old Town Secrets
(Edited)
Funny what you stumble upon in these cobbled lanes.
An old car by the restaurant entrance.
Inside, it seems, time has aged everything just as carefully.

A statue, laid out with quiet care.
Its head and legs are probably sitting in a bar somewhere.

A café wall, decorated with portraits of its own ice cream.
The owner, by the looks of it, is something of an artist.

A boat that has seen its share of days.
Long ashore, yet still holding its shape.

A cobbler’s shop.
The door is reinforced with bars and a heavy lock — business must be good. How good, exactly, is anyone’s guess, judging by the beer crates around the corner.

Well, every old town keeps its own secrets.
Thanks for wandering by.
