Let's Play "OPUS: Prism Peak" - Full Demo Review

OPUS: Prism Peak is an adventure game with exploration and photography mechanic. It follows a middle-aged photographer who gets into an accident and finds himself in a strange world populated with animal people. The only human other than him is an amnesiac young girl. They're told to find the "seer" who will help them. The Demo gives a small introduction to the story while giving us a showcase of the gameplay.

OPUS: Prism Peak's Demo

The Demo does a good job of driving the intrigue of this story. The first part of the demo explore's Eugene's backstory. His relationship with his grandfather, and dysfunctional parents. It also shows how he was introduced to photography. He grew up, got a job, got married. Still, his life went wrong at some point...

After that the Demo summarizes what I assume is the first chapter of the game, and puts us right in control of Eugene and the mysterious girl. The gameplay systems got explained. Basically, you have to take photos of objects and characters to unlock more clues so the duo get to see the Seer!

I like the Dog character, she's so strong-willed even without her memories. The most intriguing part about her comes at the end of the demo, with Eugene as a young adult bidding farewell to his friends. His female friend looked and acted exacly like this dog character!

I'm thinking that this "world" is a mind space of memories Eugene had with people from the real world...

This is one of the games I'll keep my eye on. I'll probably put it on top of my wishlist, (just below FFVII Remake,) as I'm interested in knowing where the story would go!
