Let's Play "Snake Pass" - First 30 Minutes
Snake Pass is a puzzle-platformer unique in that you're controlling a snake called Noodle and the game's platforming is physics-based, aiming to emulate the slithering of a real snake. What makes Snake Pass fun is how you control Noodle's head and body independently. You must wrap around object, coiling and climbing to navigate through the map.
The game has a Story Mode and an Arcade Mode. The story isn't deep, you just have to gather collectibles and Key Stones to fix the portals to the next area. Noodle is accompanied by a hummingbird named Doodle, who acts as the tutorial companion in the first few levels of the game.
In this video, I only tried the Story Mode, but I played some of the Arcade Mode off-screen!
It's not easy to control Noodle. You'll find in the video me try different approaches to reach each area. I kept moving the head, the body, or both in weird ways. Still, it's really satisfying when I actually manage to slither the way I intended to! Snake Pass isn't easy, but it's definitely fun!
I had fun while playing Snake Pass, but I decided to drop it as I don't have time to play all the games in my backlog, and I want to give more priority to games that I feel will enrich my life. Don't worry, Snake Pass. You'll be remembered fondly!
