A Juvenile Correctional Verdict
This is actually a sensitive one to treat with care and with no sentiments attached because in as much as I get to think about it, there are two sides to it.
As a juvenile, it is understandable that they know not the right from wrong but then there are some stages at which those right and wrongs have been known already due to exposure or environmental factors and still, there's still this shadow of the Almighty juvenile doing the coverage.
So, the question is that what if there were crimes being committed in these juvenile season, should they count after the juvenile age range is over?

There was a time I learnt about remanding children below the age of 18 in remand prison or so, which was my first time of knowing about it then. I think it was through news if I could remember well enough and the boy committed a crime of stealing. He was an underage but with a few years to clock 18 so his verdict was not passed immediately but one thing I dont know of or sure about was if his verdict was postponed till when he clocks 18 years or not.
Something I can say about this is that, firstly parents should teach their children well enough that they bring peace to the neighborhood and not put their families in disarray.
When you teach your child in the way of the Lord, he won't depart from it.
However, let's say these children ends up committing crimes even if they are being well brought up based on the current generation we have right now but I don't feel like their punishment should be revisit when they turn adult because they don't want to punish them for still being young. Remember, it's not like they will be spared for all those years till they turned adult but they will be remanded till they turn adult or saying that their crimes should be erased when they turn adults either. What lessons would shape the adulthood they're entering into based on the memories of their acts as a child?

My own take on this issue is, whatever a juvenile does, no matter how light or strong the crime may be, there might just be an adjustment in law for the punishment they are to serve as an underage of which they get to know the gravity of what they did, learn from it so that by the time they turn adult, their lives are not turning to a waste.
In conclusion, everyone has to shoulder the consequences of their actions which makes me contradict erasing their crimes when they turn adult because an once upon a time tiny tree will one day become a giant tree in the forest BUT there can be an adjustment in the law for them which makes me directly go against the idea of also waiting for a juvenile to turn an adult before passing verdict.
What about those years of waiting to turn an adult? Indirectly their lives and future are being tampered with. Those times of waiting till they turn adult is like an adult who committed a crime and was put in prison for years without the judge giving a verdict yet. All those years doesn't also count when the judge wants to pass his or her verdict on such person.

Exactly
I agree with you that no matter it's a adult or kid but he has to face the consequences of the crime what he did

Accountability for crimes committed should always exist and you've highlighted that perfectly in this post. And truly, while poor upbringing, neglect, abuse, and other environmental factors are the leading causes of juvenile crimes, there are cases where these minors experience better yet go the rogue way. In such a case, if they're close to 18, they can definitely be tried in court and sent to serve their time in jail immediately they cross that age.
In all, I hope we all do our best for the children around us to ensure we're not part of the problems that lead them into crimes at such an early age.
Exactly Yechee and most times it's not always only about our own children alone. The children of our neighbors we ignore when they do bad things instead of correcting them ends up polluting the society our children grows in too
Well glad u reminded parents to do their work, aside that, these Young's ones should be punished immediately but maybe not same level of punishment as adult. No need waiting or erasing anything ..u serge ur punishment as e dey Hot maybe their heads get corrected so they don't influence other ones negatively
You get it my woman.... When it's known that no sinner will go unpunished then either young or old would think twice before acting cos we all know right from wrong already
