What To Know About Computer Vision Syndrome.
Now, I understand that there are different reasons why people wear glasses and there are different kind of eye defect but I want to talk about Computer Vision Syndrome which is caused by something simple that we all do.
Pressing phone or computer is normal but pressing it too much may be abnormal especially for those who do not have a lot or something reasonable to do on their computer or phone.
I’ve realized that the major cause for Computer Vision Syndrome is spending too much time at the front of the screen. It can be the television screen, computer screen, phone screen or any.
The major cause of Computer Vision Syndrome is too much exposure to the screen or a prolonged screen time. This is why it is good to take breaks when working on the screen. There is a twenty second rule which states that you should take your eye off the screen for about twenty seconds before you put back your eyes there.
You can decide to do this every twenty minutes or even not up to that but based on your wish.
Sometimes, you should be at least able to know or have an idea about what’s wrong with you before going to the doctor. That’s why I will be sharing you a few symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome and they are;
Eye Strain
I’m a witness to this. I suffered from Computer Vision Syndrome sometime last year and the first thing I noticed was the eye strain. I could not look directly into the screen very well. I didn’t know what was wrong until I went to the hospital where I was eventually diagnosed for Computer Vision Syndrome.
Headache
This is not just going to be a headache but constant headache. When you are watching the screen or working on the screen, you’ll realize that there is so much headache and that’s supposed to ring a bell to you that you are suffering from Computer Vision Syndrome.
Red and irritated eyes
Then, your eyes are going to be red and if possible, it will be itchy. So, when these symptoms keep reoccurring, you should see an optician but you’re likely to be having Computer Vision Syndrome.
Simce you have identified the problem, you should look for a way to manage or cure the ailment. Here are a few ways to manage Computer Vision Syndrome;
Blue lens glasses
I use this as well. It helps to filter or works as a filter between the light and your eyes. With this, the light doesn’t come directly into your eyes but gets to the glasses first, then, your eyes.
Taking breaks
I feel you don’t love your eyes if you actually spend too much time at the front of your screen. Why not take breaks which will help relax your eyes? Taking breaks helps to reduce the risk of Computer Vision Syndrome.
With this, I’m sure you know a bit about Computer Vision Syndrome also known as CVS. Lastly, take good care of your eyes.
