What Makes A True Disciple Of The Lord Jesus Christ? Prt2/2 || MCGI Topic Review.

I think people make mistake saying that only the apostles are the disciples. There are disciples everywhere and you can also be a disciple. A disciple of Christ is one who must learn the teachings of Christ and also put them to practice.

You may be asking what are the things that a disciple must do? A disciple must do all the teachings of Christ. I know that some people love to read the Bible a lot but it doesn’t stop there.
Ask yourself this question. Am I putting all what I’ve learned into practice? If you are, it means you are a disciple of Christ but if you are not, it means you are not yet a disciple of Christ.

If you do not do what Christ has said, it means you are not ready to be a disciple. That’s not all. It means you are also not worthy to call him “Lord”.

In the Bible, Luke 6:46 says; And why call ye me, Lord, Lord and do not the things which I say?

Isn’t it true? Why are you calling Him Lord when you are not doing all that He has ordered? For you to call Him Lord, it means that you have understood and accepted that He is your owner and you have to follow His ways.

Also, we have to understand that apostles are disciples but not all disciples are apostles. The fact that you are a disciple doesn’t make you an apostle. Being an apostle is on another level entirely.
And all apostles are automatically disciples.

In 1 Timothy 4:13, the Bible says; Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine

Till the second resurrection of our Lord, these are the things that he wants us to keep doing and anyone who does them will go to Heaven.
