When someone has been infected with rabies, that person is likely to develop diarrhea, fever, tiredness, nausea and vomiting, bite surface itching, cough or sore throat. These are the early symptoms of rabies but once the person begins to feel the advanced symptoms, such person will experience restlessness, paralysis, aggression or difficulty swallowing.
Yes, these may seem like normal symptoms of every regular disease but at the same time, a person with rabies will also feel this way.

Can rabies be treated? Yes, when it hasn’t gotten to the advanced stage. It is said that when a person has a bite, he or she should wash the surface with a soapy water for about fifteen minutes. This will help minimize the amount of viral particles. After this, a medical attention should be provided. If this is done, there will be series of injections which will be given to the patient which are capable or treating rabies infection.

Once someone begins to show visible symptoms of rabies, there will be no solution. This is because the virus had already gotten to the brain. With that, there will be no effective treatment of rabies. By then, the brain will be experiencing some inflammation which will make it impossible for the symptoms to stop.

Instead of waiting to be bitten before one treats rabies, it can be prevented and that’s just the best thing to do. There are three basic ways to prevent rabies. Vaccinating pets is very good. If you vaccinate your pets, they won’t be infected and even if they bite someone, such person won’t be infected with rabies.

Also, avoid wild animals. You never can tell what animal is carrying the rabies disease or infection. They may be dead or alive. It’s better to keep distance especially when it isn’t your pet and you are not sure if the pet is vaccinated or not.
Lastly, to prevent rabies, seek medical help when you get bitten by a dog or any animal that is capable of carrying the rabies infection.

Here are a few key facts about rabies; Rabies commonly exists in Asia and Africa ans causes tens of thousand deaths in a year. It is discovered that most people with the rabies infection are children of fifteen years old and downwards.
