How Should Christians Practice Meditation? || MCGI Topic Review.
When we want to meditate, we have to know the meaning of meditation first. It means we have to know what we are doing before engage in it. So what does meditation mean? Meditation in the biblical manner means the law of the Lord and not the law of men.
The true meditation is the one which is taught in the Bible, which exists or can be proven in the book of Psalms.
Psalms 1:2 says; But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
So this means that we basicallg have nothing to do with the law of man. If we want to meditate, we have to follow that of Christ and not that of people.
It’s sad that humans or some people who translate the Bible do it anyhow they like and while translating the Bible, they add their words and what they feel like that should be inside the Bible.
What I’m saying here then means that some Bibles have the will of humans and not of God so when we want to follow the Bible, we should be mindful of the one to follow. But if we are lucky or opportune to come across a good Bible, we will know the laws of God and not of humans.
Psalms 1:3 says; And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
And when talking about the meditation of men, it’s usually about how to stay up for hours to read or do other things but meditation in its Biblical meaning is mostly proved in our actions, our thoughts and also the things that we do.
It is important for Christians to distinguish between the world's standard of mediation and that of God.
