Our friend @jane1289 brings us an interesting topic this week.

My friend, for many years now, with the advent of the internet, teleworking or working from home has become very popular and has proven to generate greater benefits for both the employee and the employer.

This is because it reduces costs and increases benefits, not only financial, but also in terms of comfort and time management.

As a writer, I don't need an office in another location; I always work from home. My office is wherever my laptop is.

However, that doesn't negate the fact that I've built myself a small office, a space for myself to work in, where I'm not distracted by my family or the outside world. That's the great thing about offices at work: they prevent distractions. It's inevitable that we'll always have them here at home, especially if we have children. Nevertheless, I still prefer working from home.

As I mentioned before, one of the benefits of working from home is the comfort. Not because you can't create that comfort in your office, but because at home everything is to your liking; it's more intimate and personal. It has nothing to do with the quality of the furniture, the coffee, or the fact that at the office you have someone to do things for you and at home you have to do them yourself.

That doesn't matter: your house is your house, and there's no hotel in the world that compares to that.

Think about the fact that we always want to go back home.

Here I have everything: my peace and quiet to write, my dog, my family, my books, my balcony overlooking the city and the Caribbean Sea; I can play my music as loud as I want, and if I get tired I go to sleep and then continue working.

Even if I want to work during the early hours of the morning, I do; just as if I want to take a day off and make it up the next, it's my decision (and responsibility).

I could have more, of course, but whatever I have will be mine, my way, my way, and for my own well-being.

Of course, this is what I prefer, since I can do it because of my profession. Other professions can't afford that luxury. When I worked in accounting, I couldn't do it, unfortunately. Now I can, and I wouldn't change it for anything.

Hola, amigas mías.

Nuestra amiga @jane1289 nos trae un tema interesante esta semana.
Amiga, desde hace muchos años, con la aparición del internet, la modalidad de teletrabajo o trabajo desde la casa se ha hecho muy popular y se ha comprobado de que genera mayores beneficios, tanto por el trabajador como para el empleador.
Esto se debe a que reduce costos y aumenta beneficios, no solamente económicos, sino en cuanto a comodidad y a gestión del tiempo.
Yo, como escritor, no necesito esa oficina en otro lugar, trabajo siempre desde la casa. Mi oficina está donde sea que esté mi laptop.

Sin embargo, eso no niega que yo mismo me he construido una pequeña oficina, un espacio para mí, para trabajar, donde no reciba distracciones por parte de mi familia o de la vida en el exterior.
Eso es lo bueno que tienen las oficinas en los trabajos: evitan las distracciones. Es inevitable que acá en la casa siempre las tengamos, sobre todo si tenemos hijos.
No obstante a eso, sigo prefiriendo trabajar desde casa.

Como decía antes, uno de los beneficios que tiene trabajar desde la casa es el de las comodidades. No porque tú no puedas crearlas en tu oficina en el trabajo sino porque en tu casa Todo está a tu gusto, es más íntimo y más personal. No tiene nada que ver con la calidad de los muebles, o la del café o que en la oficina tengas a alguien que haga algunas cosas por ti y en casa tengas que hacerlo tú mismo.
No importa eso: tu casa es tu casa y no hay hotel en el mundo que se compare con eso.
Piensen en el hecho de que siempre queremos regresar a casa.

Aquí lo tengo todo: mi tranquilidad para escribir, mi perra, mi familia, mis libros, mi balcón con vista a la ciudad y al mar del Caribe; puedo poner mi música al volumen que desee, si me canso me acuesto a dormir y luego continúo trabajando.
Incluso, si quiero trabajar durante la madrugada, lo hago; igual que si deseo no trabajar un día y recuperarlo al siguiente, es mi decisión (y responsabilidad).
Podría tener más, claro que sí, pero lo que sea que tenga, será mío, a mí manera, gusto y en función de mi propio bienestar.

Claro, esto es lo que prefiero, ya que puedo hacerlo debido a lo que me dedico. Otras profesiones no pueden darse ese lujo. Cuando trabajaba en contabilidad, no podía hacerlo, por desgracia. Ahora sí y no lo cambio por nada.
