A few days ago I read Franklin D. Roosevelt's quote: "There is something worse in life than failure: not having tried anything." It made me very sad, since I've fallen into that situation and regretted it. Therefore, we have to lose our fear of making mistakes, of failing, of what others will say.

I never tire of repeating that we have to lose our fear of failure. A mistake is never the end; it's a lesson to be learned.
Every time I've made a mistake, I've learned something specific: what not to do again, how I can improve, or simply, that I survived that fall. Failure hurts, but the regret of not trying is a much heavier burden.

It's also true that nothing ventured, nothing gained. I've seen opportunities slip through my fingers because I hesitated too much.

Total certainty is an illusion. Waiting to have all the answers before acting means, in practice, never acting at all. You have to take the plunge, even with uncertainty.

A missed opportunity is an opportunity that will never return. The context changes, the circumstances are different. What is a clear possibility today may be just a memory of what could have been tomorrow.

That's why, when a chance presents itself, you have to evaluate it and, if it seems valid, seize it. For me, Hive was that opportunity, that leap of faith, that risk I was willing to take.

And here I am.

My conclusion is simple: we must live in the moment. We cannot change the past, and the future is uncertain. Wasting energy on what could have been or what might happen is a waste.

The only real action happens in the present. It is here and now that we must decide to try, with all the risk that entails. I prefer to face the consequences of having tried, than the bitter uncertainty of not knowing if I could have succeeded, because I didn't try.

Hace unos días leí la frase de Franklin D. Roosevelt: En la vida hay algo peor que el fracaso: el no haber intentado nada, y me dio mucha tristeza, ya que he caído en esa situación, y me he arrepentido. Por tanto, tenemos que perderle miedo a equivocarnos, a fracasar, al qué dirán.

No me canso nunca de repetir que tenemos que perderle el miedo al fracaso. El error nunca es un punto final, es una lección a aprender.
Cada vez que me he equivocado, he aprendido algo concreto: qué no volver a hacer, cómo puedo mejorar, o simplemente, que sobreviví a esa caída. El fracaso duele, pero el arrepentimiento por no intentarlo es una carga mucho más pesada.
También es cierto que el que no arriesga, no gana. He visto oportunidades pasar de largo porque dudé demasiado.

La seguridad total es una ilusión. Esperar a tener todas las respuestas antes de actuar significa, en la práctica, no actuar nunca. Hay que dar el paso, incluso con incertidumbre.

Una oportunidad perdida es una oportunidad que no volverá. El contexto cambia, las circunstancias son distintas. Lo que hoy es una posibilidad clara, mañana puede ser solo un recuerdo de lo que pudo ser.
Por eso, cuando se presenta una chance, hay que evaluarla y, si parece válida, aprovecharla.
Para mí, Hive fue esa oportunidad, ese salto de fe, ese riesgo a correr.
Y aquí estoy.

Mi conclusión es simple: hay que vivir el momento. No podemos cambiar el pasado, y el futuro es incierto. Gastar energía en lo que pudo haber sido o en lo que podría pasar es un desperdicio.
La única acción real sucede en el presente. Es aquí y ahora donde debemos decidir intentarlo, con todo el riesgo que eso conlleva. Prefiero enfrentar las consecuencias de haberlo intentado, que la amarga incertidumbre de no saber si hubiera podido, por no haberlo intentado.
