Ready to the end of the world / Preparado para el fin del mundo (eng-esp)

Hello, my friends.

Today I'm full of energy to participate in the 253rd edition of the community contest, this time judged by @saffisara.

To start, I'd say that my survival time depends on the context. I don't think I'd last long in a shipwreck far from shore, but I'd know how to navigate by the stars in search of the nearest land, and I'm a good swimmer.

As a child, I was in many pioneer scout camps, so I know the basics of survival. I know different types of knots, how to make fish and animal traps. I know how to search for water and make water collectors for nights in the desert.
Well, at least I know the theory.

I can also (and have) built weapons to protect myself and hunt, using a variety of materials. Even bone. So I think I could survive perfectly in all terrains... even the Arctic. As long as I start with a good coat.

I've gained this knowledge from multiple programs on this type and from various content creators. Some are general, while others are specific. I know one who teaches how to hunt and prepare prey. He teaches us how to salt and preserve it, and also how to cook in the forest or desert, without cooking utensils. He makes them himself.
Another, a Russian, builds houses and shelters out of wood, without using a nail.

And so, in this way, I draw from all this diverse knowledge and apply it, especially in video games and my literature.
However, my confidence in survival reaches such a level that I even have strategies created for various catastrophes and possible apocalypses. Including the dreaded zombie apocalypse.

I am a science fiction writer. I mean, I've invented dozens of scenarios where humanity is at risk of perishing, so I've also had to do a lot of research to survive.
So, yes, I think I'd last a while in a situation like this. And not only would I survive, but I can save others and return home.

Being prepared to face a survival situation, including helping others, is very valuable, especially if you have created scenarios where humanity is at risk of dying, as well as your dedication to researching it,

You mention alot of good things up there, to be prepared for emergency situations is a thing that could save lives, and if People help each other it makes the chance of surviving even bigger 🩷

Even the little things can make a HUGE difference.
Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful week. Cheers 🌷

I've already prepared for the event of a major earthquake in my region, and have rehearsed a few different protocols but the real thing will likely be different than an imaginary one. Like you it's theoretical until it happens. No water, no power, infrastructure is damaged, in the middle of a city. What to do? Most are not prepared. You at least would have a plan.
Thanks for sharing @abelarte

Having a plan is the first step to survival.
It's theory, yes, but theory is also what they teach us in college to prepare us for life.
Of course, I hope I never have to put it into practice.

You are really a lot of things @abelarte when it sure comes to survival 😲
You definitely have great skills and unique strategies on how to navigate the forest, and even desert to stay alive, and also extend help to others who is also thriving to survive.
I especially admire how you learn to cook without actually cooking 😯, how to hunt for prey and preserve them😧, and how to build shelters from wood without using nails🫢. Wow bro, this is an amazing skill.

I enjoyed every read. Thanks for sharing 😊
