La poesía, el circo y mis asombros / Poetry, the circus and the wonders (esp-eng)

Hola, amigos de los #libros. La #literatura para niños siempre me ha fascinado. De hecho, quisiera pasar a la historia de la literatura como un escritor para niños.
De ahí mi placer al leer y reseñar el siguiente libro.

Como mismo guardo aquel grato y recuerdo más antiguo de “aquella tarde remota en que mi padre me llevó a conocer el circo”, conservo el de la lectura del libro, premio La Edad de Oro 2018 El circo de los asombros, de Giselle Lucía Navarro. Así como me asombró el Circo Nacional en mi infancia, también lo consiguió Giselle Lucía con un libro de poemas, hermoso, equilibrado y colmado de sentimientos, emociones y muchos asombros. Y lo mejor de todo: destinado al público infantil.

Para una persona que ama la poesía, el primer asombro fue ese: la poesía. El circo de los asombros es un cuaderno de poesía, donde en cada página encontrarás un fragmento de la historia de aquel extraordinario circo que nos muestra la autora.

Y como todo buen cuento, comienza por el principio: El aviso. Ese aviso que esperaba cada niño durante las vacaciones y lo mantenía ansioso hasta que llegara el circo al barrio. Con la llegada de este, venía la Promesa de la alegría, tal y como narra Giselle en sus versos.

Papá ha prometido
que el circo vendrá
y el cielo abrirá
con sabor a nido.

De ese modo continúa Giselle Lucía haciéndonos la historia de este maravilloso circo, desde el montaje de la carpa, la ambientación, escenografía y cada uno de sus miembros. Con lujos de detalles, alegría y el uso de un lenguaje tanto hermoso como sencillo (que no es lo mismo que simple), la autora es capaz de describir, en cada poema al equilibrista, el trapecista y al payaso. También retrata a los acróbatas, al mimo, los magos, bailarinas, al arriesgado tragasables y al “fuertudo”.

Entre verso y verso, Giselle hace alarde del dominio absoluto de la métrica y la estructura de la prosa poética, al mismo tiempo que del conocimiento circense. Esto le permite mezclar adivinanzas y trabalenguas en versos, hacer/responder preguntas y hacernos detener nuestra mirada en aquellos detalles del circo que quizás se nos pasan por alto y de los que la autora nos llama la atención; como el reloj, el monociclo del payaso, los títeres, los grillos del exterior de la carpa, los hechizos del mago, los globos y la propia risa.
El circo de los asombros no deja de hacerle honor su nombre ni al terminar de leer la última página. Fue impresionante descubrir una historia perfectamente narrada de principio a fin; conocer y empatizar con personajes y situaciones, del mismo modo que si fuera la narración en prosa de un cuento o novela.
Quizás lo más asombroso de este circo es el sabor en boca que deja al final. Leer las páginas de este maravilloso libro es un viaje a la niñez, es la máquina del tiempo por excelencia. Su lectura cumple con la promesa del papá y logras ver el cielo abrirse y sentir el sabor a nido, a algodón de azúcar y la música de la orquesta.

Este libro es una lectura ideal, didáctica, divertida, alegre y asombrosa para niños de todas las edades. Incluso para aquellos que no lo son, pero que aún lo llevan dentro. Y no solo por lo alegre de su lectura. También por la calidad literaria y artística de la escritura. Todas estas adivinanzas, trabalenguas y juegos, Giselle Lucía nos lo presenta disfrazadas (al igual que algunos de sus personajes) en cuartetas, cuartetos, pareados, décimas, ovillejos, verso libre, romance, prosa poética, sonetos y sonetillos.
El circo de los asombros es una clase magistral de poesía, tanto moderna y postmoderna, como contemporánea y clásica. Pero, por encima de todo: de buena poesía. Además, la autora lleva una narrativa muy bien hilada y diseñada, verso a verso.

Quizás, lo mejor y más asombroso de El circo de los asombros, es que resulta prácticamente imposible de leerlo solo una vez, y cada nueva lectura es como si fuera un libro nuevo. Tal y como sucede en cada ocasión que vamos al circo: siempre igual de asombroso y diferente al mismo tiempo.
Vengan al circo, que ya llegó.

Hello, #book friends. Children's #literature has always fascinated me. In fact, I would like to go down in literary history as a children's writer.
Hence my pleasure in reading and reviewing the following book.

Just as I cherish that fond and earliest memory of "that distant afternoon when my father took me to see the circus," I cherish the memory of reading the 2018 La Edad de Oro Award-winning book, The Circus of Wonders, by Giselle Lucía Navarro. Just as the National Circus amazed me in my childhood, so did Giselle Lucía with a book of poems, beautiful, balanced, and filled with feelings, emotions, and many wonders. And best of all: it's aimed at children.

For someone who loves poetry, the first surprise was that: poetry. The Circus of Wonders is a poetry notebook, where on each page you'll find a fragment of the story of that extraordinary circus that the author shows us.

And like every good story, it begins at the beginning: The Warning. That announcement every child waited for during the holidays, keeping them anxious until the circus arrived in the neighborhood. With its arrival came the Promise of Joy, as Giselle narrates in her verses.

Daddy has promised
that the circus will come
and the sky will open
with the taste of a nest.

Thus, Giselle Lucía continues to tell us the story of this wonderful circus, from the setup of the tent, the setting, the scenery, and each of its members. With a wealth of detail, joy, and the use of language that is both beautiful and simple (which is not the same as simple), the author is able to describe, in each poem, the tightrope walker, the trapeze artist, and the clown. She also portrays the acrobats, the mime, the magicians, the dancers, the daring sword swallower, and the "strong one."

Between verses, Giselle displays absolute mastery of the meter and structure of poetic prose, as well as her circus knowledge. This allows her to mix riddles and tongue twisters in verse, ask and answer questions, and make us pause for a moment on those circus details we might miss, but to which the author draws our attention: such as the clock, the clown's unicycle, the puppets, the crickets outside the tent, the magician's spells, the balloons, and laughter itself.
The Circus of Wonders continues to live up to its name, even after reading the last page. It was impressive to discover a story perfectly narrated from beginning to end; Get to know and empathize with characters and situations, just as if it were the prose narration of a story or novel.
Perhaps the most amazing thing about this circus is the aftertaste it leaves behind. Reading the pages of this wonderful book is a trip back to childhood; it's the ultimate time machine. Reading it fulfills the father's promise, and you get to see the heavens open up and taste the nest, cotton candy, and the music of the orchestra.

This book is an ideal, educational, fun, joyful, and amazing read for children of all ages. Even for those who aren't yet, but still carry the same love inside. And not just because of the joy of reading it, but also because of the literary and artistic quality of the writing. Giselle Lucía presents all these riddles, tongue twisters, and games disguised (as do some of her characters) in quatrains, quatrains, couplets, verses, verses, free verse, romances, poetic prose, sonnets, and sonnetillos.
The Circus of Wonders is a masterclass in poetry, both modern and postmodern, as well as contemporary and classical. But above all: in good poetry. Furthermore, the author delivers a beautifully woven and designed narrative, verse by verse.
