A routine I love - LOH contest week #255 / Una rutina que amo - concurso LOH semana #255 (eng-esp)
Hello, my friends!
@irenenavarroart reminded me of wonderful times with her second question in this week's community quiz #255.

The thing is, I don't have children of my own. I have two stepchildren whom I care for as if they were my own. They are my wife Elvira's children, two teenage guitar students.
For anyone who suddenly finds themselves in charge of or responsible for raising two teenagers, you can rest assured that if you had any routine, you've already lost it. Better to forget about it.

It doesn't matter that their upbringing is with their mother, who is a magnificent and devoted mother. It doesn't matter at all: you'll have to adapt your routines to theirs.
But you can also be sure that it has been the most beautiful and best thing I've ever had in my life.
Before I started my relationship with Elvira, my routine consisted of resting and working at any time of day.
In other words, there was no routine, just regular random activities. Watching series, resting, writing/reading, hanging out with my friends.
There was no fixed time for these activities.
But suddenly the school year arrives, and I have to get up early to make breakfast for the kids before they leave for school. Making sure they didn't miss anything, that they cleaned themselves properly, and that their uniforms were clean and ironed. If they weren't ironed, their mother, who loves ironing, would step in.

At first, Elvira and I did this, but later I took over alone, so she could rest and I could bring her breakfast in bed. I won out in the distribution.
Then, preparing the kids' lunch and snacks for when they returned from school. And at night, preparing the next day's things, and starting over.
My activities?
Well, I had to reorganize them whenever I could. For example, writing became an early morning activity.
Reading, on trips, in lines, and in the bathroom, or late at night. I always carry a book for when I can read. And I saw my friends during the day, while doing chores.

It was difficult at first, I assure you, but little by little it became a beautiful task, and one I miss when I'm away.
During vacation, the only thing that changes is that we have them home full-time and that breakfast is split into two sessions, since of my two children, one is a sleepyhead and the other wakes up very early.
Other than that, nothing changes, and I wouldn't change this new routine for anything in the world.

O sea, no había rutina, solo actividades aleatorias regulares.
