The value rule is; the more obvious the mint error, the more valuable it will be. They are out there circulating but quite hard to find. My only found error is a Canada 2007 1 cent off center error coin worth at least $30 CAD. A fascinating collecting field. Banknote errors is another collecting category. @punkysdad gifted me a cutting error $5 banknote.

I love finding error coins, but it's hard to do. When I ran a business for years I would get rolls of coins to use as change, but first look through for anything special. A few times I found some errors, even a couple double dies which were worth around $50. It's all luck! That's a great find on your part, congrats!
