Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report: Dropped Back to 5th Place!

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight with other guilds for the fun challenge and rewards. This is our battle report for the week.

Overall Guild Rank: Fifth Place

We have dropped back to fifth place on the back of 90 - 45 win loss record. Last week we were included in the top at third place. The competition this week was tough. Four wins separated us from fourth place guild, Saucysquad while we were up by only three wins from sixth place guild Team Possible Power. It was a difficult but fun brawl nonetheless.

Top Brawl Participants

Personally, I had a great brawl. I only yielded one loss in nine games, finishing with a win loss record of 8 - 1. I joined the third to fifth top brawl performers in our guild. There were two players in our guild who had a perfect record.

Selected Games

Here I present two of the games that I won.

Game 1

The first game was an all Water element brawl. The modifier was the new Eggceleration and the mana was thirty five. In Eggceleration, it pays to fill all slots to take advantage of the rising stats each round. I had to balance the units between having high attack and filling up slots. So I didn't use eight mana Saltwater Mage who is one of my top magic attackers and preferred lower mana cards. I still had nine mana Mystic Scaleweaver who has three magic attack. The result was I had five units against my opponent's four. My advantage in numbers overcame his lead in attack and quality of cards.

Game 2

In game 2 there was little choice. I had only one card, Quora, against my opponent. Quora is overpowered and the player who has it has a big advantage. Its double attack and healing is simply unmatched. My opponent cannot keep up and lost the game.

My only loss in this brawl was when I was the one without a Quora and my took the advantage and easily won against my units.

Spending the Rewards

I bought two packs again and got a three rare cards and one common gold foil.

As a result of today's rewards, I upgraded Chimney Wallstop to four and gold foil Isgald Vorst to four. Chimney Wallstop's attack is now six while Isgald increased life to five.

Conclusion

We earned 3,833 merits and 28 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
