Shower Seal and Threshold Tile Job, 33.1 Mile Bike Ride, YTD Miles, Scapes, Alpaca, Glasses, Trailer - Thursday

After getting the boys to school yesterday morning I headed down to Spokane to new client's AirBnB that needed some repairs. They asked before I left the house about the threshold so I was able to bring the water putty along to fix it.

I figured out the digital door lock then found the threshold looking like this. The thin tiles were all loose and the filler was as well. I saved it for the second task.

The upstairs shower pan had pulled away from the tile above. When I stepped on the low corner the thing did not flex too much so I was able to just fill it in with the silicone caulking. I ran painter's tape along the pan first.

I filled in along the separated grout with the clear caulking and smoothed it with a gloved finger.

It filled it in nicely and should last a good while.

I then got the tiles all set with the water putty mixed a tiny bit thinner so it would flow a little. Took a bit to get enough and the right consistency. I tried finding some black powder to mix in but only had found reds and browns. It is under the door and the mat will cover the visible inside.

After getting home I ate quickly then headed out on the bike for a ride.

It was a nice sky but the wind was rather strong so the cross winds were a pain in the ass. Head wind was not bad, cross wind annoying.

I was on Cassberg-Burroughs about to get to Monroe when a trio of riders went the other way, decked out in matching kit which made me presume teammates potentially. Nifty to see others out as I normally see no other riders.

Not bad getting in the 50k in 2 hrs. 92 miles this week and today will put me well over 100.

This put me over half way to my year goal of 2500 miles riding. 1266 miles so far!

Back home I was in the garden after cooling down and got even more scapes picked.

I noticed the alpaca was not by the hut so I hiked the hill to find her.

She was just chilling in the grass so I let her be and wandered the fence line a bit.

New cycling glasses arrived and they fit my face nicely. I have really long eye lashes that hit the lenses on too many styles of sunglasses. These don't and came with 4 lenses and an extra nose piece. $25 means I am not super paranoid about keeping them perfect. They will vent much better on rides and hopefully not get sweat runnels down them.

After dinner I got the trailer hooked up for the grain run I have done this morning.

Been to town for the grain and have the trailer emptied and unhooked. Boys to school in a bit then mid morning I go pickup the irrigation parts at Horizon for the install then drop the big stuff at the job site. I will get in a ride to test the new glasses, pickup Azure early afternoon, work around the garden, then come up with dinner this evening.
