Looking to the future

It's been an exciting time around @bozz land as our niece has been doing college visits. She is a senior this year and she has been looking for a place to continue her education and her volleyball career. Apparently the school she visited yesterday is very interested in her and she really liked what she saw, so she may have found her new home for the foreseeable future. She is still not sure what she wants to do for a career. Instead of wasting money on the insane price of university tuition, she is going to attend a smaller college to get her basic stuff out of the way.
I'm really looking forward to seeing where this next road in life takes her!
It's a bit hard to believe, but we are already getting ready for the 12th week of the NCAA football season.
Now that college basketball season has also started, my attention is going to be split, but unfortunately, there isn't much to get excited about for the Michigan State football team, so I can pretty much focus solely on their basketball team.
The won last night actually, but I will write more about that next week. They have a slew of big games coming up, so we will see what happens.
If you are looking for some good college football games to check out this weekend, let me highlight a few of them here for you.
There is a Big Ten game tonight with Minnesota heading into Oregon. With Oregon being ranked number 8 in the nation, and it being a home game, this will probably go one way, but you never know if Minnesota is going to have some tricks up their sleeve.
Moving to Saturday, that number 24 South Florida versus Navy game might be interesting. Both teams have the same record, so we might get to see a nice knock down drag out fight.
As far as big big games, definitely check out number 9 Notre Dame at number 22 Pittsburgh in the noon time slot. Both teams are 7 and 2. This could be an important game in determining their future.
At 3:30, the big game is likely going to be number 11 Oklahoma at number 4 Alabama if you live in the southern United States. If you are more of a Big Ten fan, you will likely be watching the number 21 Iowa at number 17 USC game instead. Both of those games have some pretty big implications. An Oklahoma victory over Alabama could be a stunner for a team that is looking to recapture their former glory.
Meanwhile, in the Big Ten, Ohio State and Indiana are just one loss away from things being thrown into turmoil. This Iowa/USC game might not seem significant right now, but down the line it could be crucial.
In the 7:30 slot, you will probably find yourself watching the number 10 Texas at number 5 Georgia game. With the Longhorns being 7-2 and the Bulldogs being 8-1, this is a big game for the SEC playoff picture.
Also at 3:30, Michigan State will be facing Penn State in East Lansing. With both teams being 3-6 on the season, this could be a good match up, but it really isn't going to make much of a difference. Unless Michigan State can win out, there are likely not going to make it to a bowl game this year anyway. I'm not sure I would want to watch them even if they did!
It's been pretty miserable!
Like I said though, basketball season is here!
Also on Sunday at 8:20 PM EST, the Lions are heading to Philly to take on the Eagles. That should be a good game. If you can stay up that late, be sure to check it out!
